III. Checking up the home task.

You can see on the blackboard the sun with beams. Your task is to write near each beam your associations with bad and good habits.
a) New words
Chaotic– астан- кестен , ретсіз
Pupils are going to listen to the text “Health problems” and study new words.
b) Listening comprehension
Two problems that people have nowadays are obesity and physical inactivity. They are known from ancient times. They are joined by other bad habits: smoking and drinking too much alcohol, and the surprising “danger”
of sleeping too much or too little, eating between meals and skipping breakfast.
Moreover these poor health habits could double the chance of dying or lead to different diseases.
Of course sleeping too much or too little, snacking and skipping breakfast are not quite as harmful as smoking, obesity and drinking. But they are signs of dangerously chaotic life styles.
Regularity in life promotes health. Sleeping seven or eight hours, getting up early, eating breakfast, a healthy diet and regular meals is really a good way to live.
After listening they do several tasks.
a) give the title to the text (Health problems)
b) group work
Pupils compare their list of good/ bad habits with those mentioned in the text.
“Agree or disagree with me”
– Exercising is bad for health.(That`s wrong. It is good for health)
– Smoking is a bad habit.(That`s right. Smoking is a bad habit)
– Skipping meals is a good habit. .(That`s wrong. It is a bad habit)
– Eating low-fat food is a good habit. (That`s right. It is a good habit)etc.
As we`ve talked we must fight with bad health habits. You should lead healthy way of lifestyle.Sport activities will help a lot.
You are tired. I`d like to see how can you show me movements of sportsmen( swimmer, boxer, tennis player, weight-lifter, basketball player)

Regularity in life promotes health.
